I'm creating this list for myself, but am sharing it here in this forum. Maybe if I put it out there in the universe, I will truly get to do some fun summer activities and get some great photos all in one fell swoop. When fall approaches, I hope to have at least
Here's my to-do list:
- Go to the drive-in movies (there's still one left!)
- Eat corn-on-the-cob (roasted on the grill)
- Go to a Farmers Market
Take in an outdoor concert- Go to a carnival (Elitches might count)
- Dine al fresco
Read a book!- Ride our tandem bike
somewhereanywhere - Go camping and/or fishing
- Go shopping at an outdoor mall
- Go to the zoo
Take Gracie swimming (where do you take dogs to swim?)- Cook out
- Eat watermelon and spit the seeds
- Buy a yummy treat from the ice cream truck
Let Gracie hang her head out the car window- Lay on the grass and star at the clouds or the stars (counts as two?)
- Look for a rainbow
- Make (not buy) banana splits
- Make potato salad (using my mom's recipe)
- Bring my golf handicap down!
- Get a new summer (hair) do
Go the pool- Eat strawberry short cake
- Get a new pair of sandals or flip flops
- Go on a picnic (with my cute picnic basket)
Make sun tea- Get a sun tan (where you can see the lines)
- Feed the ducks (loved to do this when I was a kid - my Grandma used to have a drawer just for stale bread for this very purpose)
- Eat a popsicle (do they still make root beer & banana flavors) (or how 'bout a bomb pop?)
- Swing on a swingset
- Wash my car MYSELF (in the driveway!)
- Eat a root beer float (better yet, make them)
- Wiggle my toes in a stream or a lake
- Go on a motorcycle ride
- Blow bubbles
- Make a jello salad
- Cook breakfast in the mountains (I loved this too when I was a kid)
- Watch the sun set
Walk in the rainGo on a hikeWatch the fireworksGo to the mountains- Go to a Rockies game
- Make s'mores
Go to the flea market- Climb a Fourteener (as in mountain)
Make home made ice cream- Grow (and HARVEST) some vegetables

I was thinking of you on the 4th. Going to the mountains for breakfast is one of my favorite memories.
